A clear agreement for work on your jewelry
Contact Kim Chung to discuss custom design, engraving, resizing or repair. Availability depends on the item, materials, condition and work requested. An inquiry or reference image is the start of a consultation, not authorization to begin work.
Specifications and estimates
Before authorizing a project, review the design, metal, stone details, size, engraving text and any drawing or model. Confirm the price, applicable taxes, deposit, balance due, estimated completion date and return or cancellation terms in writing. Check spelling, measurements and personal details carefully. Reference images and digital renderings illustrate a concept; any important tolerance or finish should be included in the agreed specifications.
Receiving an existing item
For a repair or alteration, request an intake record describing the item, visible condition, stones and accompanying documents. Point out known damage, previous repairs or treatments. An estimate may depend on inspection. If additional work is identified, review the revised scope, price and timing before authorizing it.
Changes and cancellation
After design approval or the start of work, a change may affect cost, materials or timing. Request a written revision before further work proceeds. Cancellation charges or deposit treatment, if any, follow the terms disclosed and accepted for your order and applicable law; a deposit is not automatically nonrefundable merely because the work is custom.
Completion and collection
Wait for confirmation that the item is ready. At collection, check the agreed specifications, fit, finish and included documents. Ask about care and any written service warranty. For delivery, confirm the address and shipping arrangements. If someone will collect on your behalf, ask about the necessary authorization.
Questions after service
Keep the service record. If something appears incorrect or a stone or clasp is loose, stop wearing the item and contact us with the service reference. Custom or altered status does not remove rights concerning defective work or a failure to meet agreed specifications.
